With easy, single push-button programming, you have wireless remote control of up to three X10 compatible modules or X10 receivers on consecutive X10 addresses, plus dimming capability with the fourth button. This attractive X10 Wireless Wall Switch measures only 7 millimeters thick and is white with a gold inset. Switches use a thin 3-volt lithium battery (included).

Important Note: One 16-device base unit will receive/transmit addresses 1-16 on one house code. So you need only one base unit for each house code selected, no matter how many wireless switches you use.

The X10 Wireless Switch requires an X10 receiver base (or models from IBM, Stanley, Leviton and others), which plugs into any nearby 110V wall outlet. The switch is completely compatible with X10 wireless remotes, so you can mix and match remotes, switches and bases as desired.

Solves a problem I had -- a location it would be very hard to wire (a stairwell)--but the range isn't that great and it tends to ignore keypresses sometimes. I'm replacing it now after about five years because the top button has stopped working, I'm frankly a bit annoyed that it hasn't lasted considably longer. So, overall, not thrilled, but it does basically work as advertised.

It's a great little device and super easy to setup. I was already using X10 code 1 for another device, so programmed this for slots 2-4 to control all my outside lights. Only problem as someone else mentioned is that the battery compartment is really lame and won't hold the battery in place once it's mounted vertically. Each time the battery pops out the remote returns to the "house code A first device 1" default and has to be reprogrammed. The mfr could have done a lot better in this regard. Some white tape at the bottom fixed the problem, but for $24 that shouldn't be necessary.

Great little wireless remote! They will work great to control my saltwater aquarium. I would however like to see some updates to this item. Each button should be able to have it's own address assigned to it and the dim button should be able to be used as an on/off if desired. Oh yeah.. Why is the ON on the left and OFF on the right? That's just backwards! :)

The only thing I dislike about these switches is that you have to use 3 sequential X10 codes. It would be nice if it could assign any code to any button.

Just peal and stick wherever you want a remote set of switches. Works great on tile counters in the kitchen or bedroom headboards. You must have a receiver set to the same house code.
