You don't need to rewire your house in order to install motion-activated lighting. The Motion Sensor Indoor Alert System is triggered by a weather-resistant motion sensor that runs on two AA batteries (sold separately), so you can set up this system in minutes. When the motion sensor is activated, it sends an RF signal to the included plug-in module, which will turn on a lamp and emit an audible alert, so you'll know instantly if a prowler is on your property or if guests have arrived.

Simple Plug-In SetupPlug a lamp into the bottom of the module and plug the module into any wall outlet. Thanks to a built-in photocell, you can set the motion sensor to signal the lamp module only when it's dark out to save electricity. Once activated, the lamp will stay on for the length of time you specify, and the audible tone features volume adjustment for comfort.
Motion Sensor Features Extra ProtectionThe included motion sensor features the Creep Zone® Advantage: Unlike most motion sensors, which allow an area directly beneath them to go undetected, this sensor looks down in addition to out for maximum protection. Additional features include sensitivity control and pulse count technology, which reduces false sensing from wind and rain for maximum reliability.
Additional Motion-Sensor Lights AvailableSimilar to this system, the Motion Sensor Lamp Control Sockets come with an indoor/outdoor motion sensor that triggers two screw-in lamp sockets. The Motion Sensor Indoor Alert System is also available with an included outdoor floodlight: The single motion sensor will trigger both the floodlight and the plug-in lamp module/alarm tone. If you don't need the alarm tone/lamp module, the Floodlight Motion Sensor comes with the floodlights and indoor/outdoor motion sensor.
