If you are looking for a simple solution to let you know when someone is approaching your home, consider the Solar Powered Wireless Outdoor Motion Sensor Alert System. The kit comes with a solar powered motion sensor that can be placed in the ground using the included stake attachment. The adjustable sensor detects motion up to 70 feet away with a 360° field of view, and can operate for a full 24 hours or at night only. The sensor is solar powered, so there is now wiring involved and is ready for use in seconds. When movement has been detected, a radio frequency (RF) signal is sent from the sensor to the included plug-in receiver module. The receiver has a built-in chime module that offers an audible alert and an optional plug for connecting a lamp for visual alert. The motion sensor and receiver module can be used up to 100 feet apart making this product the ideal alert system for notifying you of movement near a driveway, front porch, side yard, or backyard. The solar powered motion sensor is powered by two AAA NiMH rechargeable batteries, included.

DualBrite® Dimmer Control
The motion sensor has a built in light that comes on at half power (accent mode) for your selected time after dusk (Off, three hours, until dawn). When motion is sensed, the light turns on full power for the selected ON-TIME (1 or 5 minutes) then returns to accent mode.
Dusk to Dawn
This setting adjusts the sensors ability to detect motion day and night or night only.
Motion Sensing Range Control
Adjust the RANGE dial to increase or decrease the motion sensing range as needed. Too much sensitivity may cause false triggering due to heat sources in the coverage area. The sensor on this light fixture detects "motion" by the movement of heat _ across the coverage area.
Avoid False Triggering
Be careful not to point the sensor toward the following objects that produce heat and can cause the sensor to produce a false trigger:
Pools of water
Air conditioners
Dryer vents
Fenced-in animals
Heating vents
Street traffic
