You already use a remote control to control your home entertainment system, so why not use that same remote to control lights, adjust the thermostat, close the drapes and more! It's incredibly easy with this Infrared X10 Command Console that converts IR commands from a universal remote into X10 signals. This remote console is compatible with a number of X10 modules (sold separately). A selection of remote controls (each sold separately) is already pre-programmed to work with the remote console, making automation control even easier. The Infrared X10 Command Console is powered by simply plugging it into any 120VAC outlet.

Just install the appropriate X10 Modules and you'll be able to dim lights, adjust temperature, open and close drapes and more – all with the same remote you use to change channels and adjust volume!
If you're just getting started with home automation, you can purchase the Infrared X10 Command Console as a kit with a universal remote control and two plug-in lamp modules.
The following remotes are already pre-programmed to work with the Command Console:
 MX-500 Home Theater Master Remote (sold separately)
 5-In-1 RF/IR Remote (sold separately)
You can also program ANY learning remote to operate the Command Console, however you'll need one of the pre-programmed remotes listed above to do this.
The keypad on top of the console also provides direct control of up to eight X10 devices, including On/Off, Dim/Bright and All Lights On/Off. Compatible with the Powermid™ and other infrared range extenders.
For easy addressing, insert an X10 Code Clicker (sold separately) into the dial wheel.
