This photocell mini controller looks and works just like the standard Mini Controller. But turn it over and you'll see 4 switches that let you set the photocell to control the devices on Unit Codes 1-4.
To use the Sundowner, simply set the unit in a window facing outwards, then set the House Code and Unit Codes (1-4 or 5-8) for the device(s) you want to control. Because the Sundowner is activated by light instead of a timer, you'll never have to worry about resetting timers as the seasons change and the days get longer or shorter. Plus, you can adjust the photocell's light sensitivity to have the attached devices switch on/off earlier or later.
The Sundowner even offers advantages over using computer-based timer solutions. Computer programs that use your geographic location to calculate sunset will send the signal when it determines the sun has set. But on stormy or cloudy days, it may get dark much sooner. Computer programs are unable to react to such changes, and can leave you in the dark. But not the Sundowner. It turns your lights on when it's most important to you . . . when it gets dark outside, no matter what time of day it might be. So throw out those antiquated, hard-to-set timers and order your X10 Photocell Mini Controller today.
