If your X10 wireless devices sometimes don't communicate with their receivers, the X10 Radio Frequency Repeater can help. As a true radio repeater, it receives wireless signals from all X10 and compatible wireless devices (excluding Powermids) and repeats the signal within milliseconds at a stronger amplitude than the original signal. Compatible with X10 wireless remotes, motion sensors, and X10 security system sensors.

Up to four repeaters can be used to give wireless range of up to 600 ft. from base. The transmitted signal will have an approximate range of 150 feet.
Other features include a built-in test button helps you determine optimum placement of each repeater. Each Radio Frequency Repeater runs off 120 volts and contains a built-in rechargeable battery that permits operation when the electricity is off. This makes it ideal for wireless security systems that continue to secure the home even when the electricity is off.
The X10 Radio Frequency Repeater is a better solution as compared to using two or more plug-in wireless modules set to the same codes will not extend the range of your remotes reliably. If two bases receive a wireless signal on the same house code at the same time, the two X10 signals generated simultaneously will collide and cancel out. This repeater solves this problem by allowing the use of one base unit.
The X10 Radio Frequency Repeater is only a repeater of wireless signals. It does not receive the wireless signals and put the commands onto the electricity lines in the form of an X10 signal. You will still need an X10 Transceiver module like the X10 16 Device RF Base or the Leviton Transceiver Base or similar to convert received wireless signals into X10 signals for the powerline.
