Control a lamp from anywhere in your home without running wires. The Black & Decker RF Base & Remote comes with a handheld remote that uses radio-frequency messages to signal the RF base to turn a lamp on and off using Freewire™ signals. Once set up, you can easily expand your remote-control lighting by adding indoor and outdoor lamp modules, each sold separately. The remote works with all Freewire components, turning three units and two light groups on and off; it will also turn all Freewire-enabled lights in your home on and off at once. Note: The remote's RF signal is only compatible with the included Freewire Messenger Hub receiver.

This set includes an RF base and an indoor remote. The RF base is the messenger hub of the expandable Freewire system, doubling as a plug-in lamp module, which can be controlled from anywhere in the house with the included remote. The base will control an incandescent lamp rated up to 500 watts. Programming the RF base is easy: Just set a house and unit code using the clearly marked wheels.
When plugged into an AC outlet, the RF base receives radio-frequency signals from the included handheld remote and relays these wireless messages over your existing powerlines to any Freewire receiver dialed to the same house code. Freewire's 256 channels and 64,000 unique codes ensure a secure system for your home.
The HomeLink Wireless Control System is a factory-installed feature packaged on many vehicle models, providing a convenient way to replace up to three handheld radio-frequency transmitters used to activate devices such as gate operators, garage door openers, entry door locks, security systems and home lighting. Freewire products are compatible with select 2001 and newer HomeLink-equipped vehicles. Programming instructions for HomeLink are included in the instruction guide for this Freewire product.
The remote will control up to three lamps and two mood lighting scenes. It can also turn on and off every lamp set to your designated house code. Also available is the Black & Decker Freewire Remote, Lamp Module, Receiver, which also contains a second lamp module for another controllable lamp. The Black & Decker Freewire Indoor/Outdoor Starter Kit is the ultimate Freewire starter kit. It comes with the base and remote as well as one indoor and two outdoor lighting modules.
