The Leviton GFCI Wall Outlet with LED Nightlight has a ground fault circuit interrupter (GFCI) built into a 15-amp receptacle. This safety device is equipped with convenient feed-through wiring connections that not only protect the outlet it's built into, but all of the outlets on the same circuit. Its advanced SmartLockPRO electronic design offers superior resistance to surges and over-voltages, and its power indicator light helps diagnose improper wiring and, when illuminated, offers visual confirmation that power is available.

Automatically test the GFCI every time the RESET button is pushed in. The GFCI will not reset if the GFCI circuit is not functioning properly
By blocking reset of the GFCI if protection has been compromised, SmartLockPRO reduces the possibility of end-users incorrectly assuming that a reset GFCI outlet is providing ground fault protection when it actually is not.
A line-load reversal diagnostic feature is provided which prevents the GFCI from being reset and stops power from being fed to the GFCI receptacle face or through to downstream devices. A green LED indicator on the GFCI's face also illuminates to alert the installer to the line-load wiring reversal.
The trip latch mechanism in the SmartLockPro GFCI is a one piece "T" design for efficient operation
High immunity to high-frequency noise reduces nuisance tripping
Multiple wiring options with nine back-wire holes (two for each line and load connection plus one for ground with an internal clamp)
SmartLockPRO
The SmartLockPRO receptacle automatically tests the GFCI every time the RESET button is pushed. The GFCI will not reset if the GFCI circuit is not functioning properly. If the SmartLockPRO receptacle can no longer provide GFCI protection, it will not reset and no power is supplied to the face or downstream receptacles. SmartLockPRO diagnoses line-load reversal upon installation. It will not reset if miss-wired. LED indicator light alerts you of line-load reversal when installing.
LED
No bulbs will need to be replaced in this nightlight, as it uses an energy-efficient LED that will last for an average of 20 years. You can manually turn it on or off; however, it contains a sensor that turns the light on automatically when it gets dark.
