It is designed for use outdoors or indoors, wherever you feed your pet. For 100% effectiveness avoid placing the Ant-Blocker in high grass, against walls, fences, chairs, dog houses, shrubs or trees, anything that the ants can use to form a 'bridge' gaining access to the top of the tray. SET-UP
After placing your Ant-Blocker in the desired spot, fill the water reservoir through the convenient hole in the top of the Ant-Blocker. (Pour water in slowly to avoid splashing) The water reservoir will hold 8 cups of water. We recommend keeping at least 6 cups of water in the reservoir for 100% effectiveness. Place your pet's food bowl on top of the Ant-Blocker and let them enjoy their meal - ANT-FREE!

CARE & CLEANING
Ant-Blocker is made from durable, non-toxic plastic, is dishwasher safe, or can be cleaned using a mild solution of soap and water, or garden hose. (Be sure to rinse the AntBlocker thoroughly to prevent your pet from getting sick due to any soap residue). The Ant-Blocker is designed so that your pet will not be able to drink the water in the moat. Check, empty, and refill once or twice a week to maintain full ant free effectiveness and to eliminate a mosquito breeding environment (more often depending on your geographical climate).

Quick Cleaning: turn AntBlocker on its side to dump old water from the reservoir, spray reservoir with garden hose.

Thorough Cleaning: for a more thorough cleaning, and to sanitize, place AntBlocker in the dishwasher.
