This fun and practical yard decoration depicts our wonderful canine friend, the Dalmation, holding a lantern in its mouth so that your yard may have an extra bit of light each night. However, unlike our real life furry friends, this Dalmation is completely self sufficient as long as its setup in a location that will receive sunlight. The included lantern held under the Dalmation's mouth is solar powered and will automatically turn on as it becomes dark out. A solar panel on the top of the LED lantern collects sunlight during the day and uses it to charge a rechargeable Ni-Cd AA battery which is included. What this means to you, the user, is that the operating cost of this wireless light is $0 and can be used in areas where light is needed but a conventional electrical supply is not available. On a full charge the LED lantern can provide up to 10 hours of light and as an added feature the lantern can easily be removed from the dog's mouth and used where ever light is needed. This product is versatile as well due to the fact the lantern and dog can be separated from one another. Should the user want to hang something else from the hook in the dog's mouth they easily can or should they want to place the lantern in one spot and the dog in another they easily can. Ultimately with no wiring for this product required and both being water resistant its user is afforded the freedom to use them where ever it best suits them. The dog is roughly 17 inches tall x 12 inches long x 8 inches wide and the LED lantern is CE certified.
