The BAYweb Thermostat saves the maximum amount of energy almost effortlessly. Once installed, you’ll will rarely have to think about resetting or programming your thermostat again. Saving money and energy is great but the real breakthrough is achieving this year after year with minimal ongoing effort.
The standard model of BAYweb Thermostat can be used with conventional or heat pump based systems, that use single or multi-stage control. It supports unlimited X10 wireless, and one wired alert inputs. The BAYweb Thermostat can easily be installed by home owners or HVAC professionals. Use it to replace an existing thermostat or for installation with new heating or cooling equipment.

Advanced Model
The advanced model can be used for everything from conventional single and multistage stage heat and/or cool systems (one heat/one cool to two heat/two cool) to single and multistage heat pump systems, with or without auxiliary heat, (one heat/ one cool to three heat/two cool). It includes unlimited wireless and three wired alert inputs.

The hardware is excellent. Worked right out of the box. The software is different than normal programmable thermostats and takes some getting used to, especially if you're used to being able to simply turn it on or off for short or extended periods. Several times I have thought to have turned down the temp and found out when I got home that it reverted back to the standard program meaning that the heat was on anyway while i was not home. I still would recommend it but ...

I've been using the advanced thermostat for a month now and so far I am very pleased with it. It will take me a few more months to really get some good usage data from the system, but it looks very promising. I am also using the X10 motion detectors as proximity sensors as well as for alerts during certain scheduled times. The alerts are almost instantaneous which is very impressive. The only thing that could be improved is the installation instructions. I am not HVAC expert and when I replaced my existing thermostat the wiring was different than what they showed in the manual. It made me very uncomfortable and I had to email Bayweb technical support after hours. They responded within 1.5 hours and gave me some advice, but it still made me a little uneasy. Everything seems to be working fine, but I will not feel good about the install until I have an expert check it out. The internet and smartphone capabilities are awesome. I did not find another product that could compare to Bayweb thermostat.

The device works as advertised and us a really good value. There can be some confusion on exactly how to wire it up when you have both a heat pump and an emergency heat wire. Contacted support by email and found them to respond quickly. The user interface was not obvious at first but once you understand it you can make changes quickly and easily. The unit did lose the connection to the router once early on but has been connected fine for the last month.

Works well and easy to setup... Be sure to turn off power and or remove the furnice fuse when you are cutting the thermostat wire. Also DO NOT connect the wire that is mark as C on your funice or thermostat to this thermostat it do not need it. I blow the fuse on my funice because of that. Having a 3 Amp spare automotive fuse will be handy too. Another feature that I was exspecing that this thermostat do not have is a local web interface. To communicate / control your thermostat you have to go to bayweb.com and login, the service is free with minimal ads but from terms and consition they can termiante the free service or charge for the service if they want. Having web interface will eliminate the need and dependency on your internet connection or any services and still be able to control the unit on the network. The control / thermostat is very small, it look biger on the picuture.
