Unlike a candle, the color changing ball does not get hot, nor can it create a fire. With the included CR 2032 batteries you can expect 21 hours of usage; spare/additional CR 2032 3V coin cell batteries are sold separately. The item can be set to a static color or automatically cycle through colors. The sphere is water tight and can be used outdoors.
