A color changing LED in the dragonfly is powered by a solar panel which is encased in a clear waterproof housing on the lily pad. Over the course of the day the solar panel will take in sunlight which will in turn allow for the dragonfly to automatically illuminate at night. The dragonfly sits atop a lily pad which is also waterproof and floats making it a fun way to spruce up any pool or pond.
