Heats Your Pool Quickly and Efficiently Unlike solar blankets, which are designed to retain heat rather than add it, this solar pool heating system uses your existing pool pump to circulate water through the solar collector's small passages, where the water is warmed by the sun. The heated water then flows directly back to your pool through your regular pool plumbing. All it takes to sufficiently heat your pool is activating your system during a couple of warm, sunny days.
Uses Your Existing Pool PumpIf your existing pool pump is in good working condition, you can use your existing pump. A one HP pump will handle installations up to 30 feet away from the pool equipment and one story up. If the collectors are cool to the touch when the water is running through them on a warm day, you are getting enough flow.
Easy to InstallAll you will need to install your solar pool heating system is a flathead screwdriver and enough hose to reach from your pool equipment to the collector and back. Plan to install the solar collectors anywhere you get full sun for at least 6 hour during the day, the longer the collectors are in full sun, the better they work. If collectors are to be mounted on a roof, an optional roof/rack mounting kit is also available.
