A built-in photocell recognizes when the sun goes down, turning the lights inside turn on, cycling from red, dark blue, yellow, purple, aqua, lavender and green. Because the LED is encapsulated within a water tight housing it can be placed almost anywhere without the fear of the elements causing it to deteriorate over time. This eco-friendly item requires no electricity to operate, just the natural sunlight to recharge the batteries. Hands on Research
I tested this product for over a week to make sure the light kept charging during the day. The item had a beautiful glow every night without fail, and guests always commented on the product (I actually had one friend that wanted to take it home with him). It is designed for pools and fountains, but after moving it around for a week, this item could also be used as a center piece on any outdoor table to create a little bit of ambiance.

Note: Total night illumination time will vary depending on the amount of daily sunlight exposure time the solar cell receives. Cloud cover or partial sun exposure does not allow for optimum performance.
