No more overcooking your sirloin or lamb shanks with this easy-to-use meat thermometer. Or open the grill every few minutes to see if your burgers or chicken breasts are cooked all the way through. This remote thermometer includes both a transmitter and receiver, allowing you the freedom to prepare other foods in the kitchen or spend more time with your guests in the backyard. The transmitter and receiver communicate over RF, giving you the freedom to move all around the house and backyard while you are grilling. You can monitor the temperature of your food and the time it has been cooking without standing right next to the grill. Insert the 5-inch probe into your desired meat portion, set the desired modes on the transmitter, clip the receiver to your belt or pocket, and wait until the system alerts you.
You can choose from eight meat temperature presets (ham, beef, ground beef, veal, lamb, pork, chicken, or turkey) or create your own temperature setting. Select your desired taste (well done, medium, medium rare, or rare). Tastes are set according to the USDA doneness level. When your meat reaches the preset temperature, the transmitter sends a signal to the receiver to let you know your food is ready. The thermometer's timer function also allows you to use it to count down time like a timer or count up time like a stopwatch. Both the receiver and transmitter have on/off switches to conserve battery life when the unit is not in use.
The transmitter and receiver each require the use of two
AAA batteries, sold separately.
