Optional Combination Keypads are available for external access. Works with any doors that slide on the inside of the patio door frame. From the inside looking out, determine if you need the left- or right-hand unit. Choose #3180R for doors with the handle on the right side of the door, or #3180L if the handle is on the left. Please note that the Doormate is not suitable for patio doors systems that have the sliding door on the outside of the patio door frame.

Proximity Sensor #3181S - The Pet Prox proximity sensor offers hands free opening within a programmable range. Simply attach the keyless tag to your wheelchair, walker, crutches, etc. and when you approach the door from either the inside or out, the keyless tag activates the Doormate and your patio door automatically. Also ideal to give your pets independent access to the home. (Includes two keyless tags).

Extra Handheld Transmitter #3181T - Activate your Doormate with the push of a button. The remote transmitter can be hand held or wall-mounted.

"DOORMATE CEASED OPERATIONS as of today July 12, 2007. Just called to get a replacement battery under warranty and was informed of such. buy your spare parts now, especially batteries. You do have to be mechanically inclined to "tweak" this along the way, but what a difference it has made with the in's and out's all day by the dog and no accidents because we didn't get up early enough. We put it on a timer to open at 5:00 am and go off at night at 10:30 (just have to make sure the dog is in before 10:30!)." - -

"Now with 3+ years of experience under my belt. If you are not mechanically inclined, this door could be a challange. Have burnt up 5 circuit boards (gets expensive). They replaced one under warantee and I fixed 2 that burnt out. They have a weak spot (the Mosfets burn out). Have had to replace the main drive gear at least 6 times, and have gone through 3 end plates. When it is working, it is great. Drives the dogs nuts when not working.
