If you use the Makita Motorized Drape System to control your drapes automatically with a handheld remote, you also start controlling them with your home's X10 automation system. The Makita Contact Closure Interface is a multi-functional control device that takes simple contact closure (momentary, maintained or TTL) and converts it to the signal the motor requires for operation. This system requires an X10 Universal Module, which can be controlled via any X10 controller. Control via X10 is possible with any Makita Motorized Drapery System, including the Makita 9-Foot Single Drape System, the Makita 18-Foot Single Drape System and the Makita 18-Foot Double Drape System.
