I was unaware this would not fit a regular size hose extension (I should have noticed the 1/4 part). I bought something to attached it to a regular hose, but it only worked about 1/3 of the way through the 100ft. Since this product is not guaranteed by smarthome, but by the manufacturer, I called them. They said it is not defective but is intended to be purchased to cut up and use in portions! That is not what I needed nor do I see anywhere in the description that that is the case. Even though the manufacturer said it's not defective, smarthome, agreed to allow me to return it. I did return it a few weeks ago, though I haven't seen the credit yet. Smarthome has been very accommodating to this point with my purchase with them, just hope I get the credit!
