Essential Info
Do you need to control an air conditioner or electric water heater via INSTEON? The EZSwitch is a high current (30 Amp) relay module that responds to INSTEON and X10 On/Off commands sent through the power line. The module contains dual relays with available normally-open or normally-closed contacts. Thus, it is possible to switch both legs of a 220VAC 2-phase circuit, and control the load to be activated with either ON or OFF commands. Activating with OFF commands might be desirable in cases where a failure in the switch would leave the load energized. The module derives its internal power and communicates with the INSTEON network from the neutral and line 1 (hot) connections. Operation is similar to the INSTEON ApplianceLinc V2. The EZSwitch30 has a built-in power line interface and its programming and control are done through the power line.

Do More With SoftwareThe on-board memory allows you to set timers to trigger events on the outputs to last for 1 to 255 minutes and a free software download is available for easy programming. The device can be set up and operated using the free downloadable Set up and Configuration Utility.
INSTEON CompatibleThe EZSwitch30 Controller is fully INSTEON compatible. INSTEON is a powerful home-control networking technology. INSTEON messages are transmitted throughout your home both wirelessly and through the home's existing wiring. All INSTEON messages are confirmed and repeated by INSTEON devices in the network, contributing to the outstanding reliability and performance of INSTEON products.
X-10 compatibilityThe EZSwitch30 also works with legacy X10 products. If you have an existing X10 network, the Controller works with your X10 products and provides an upgrade path to an INSTEON network.
