But now you can completely eliminate this step. By removing your light switch plate cover and covering your light switches with these snap-on Light Switch Covers, you'll be able to get to the painting part of your project more quickly, knowing that your wiring is protected. Thirteen Light Switch Covers are included in this package; since they are reusable, you'll be able to take them from room to room as needed.

The Light Switch Covers completely cover the entire switch receptacle, so your wires are protected. But each is smaller than a standard wall plate, so there will be no empty, unpainted area left behind. By snapping these covers on before painting, you'll avoid having to tape each switch, and you'll be left with less mess than with tape.
Outlet Covers are also available; they plug right into your receptacle. Both the Light Switch Covers and Outlet Covers can be used to hide outlets from prying little fingers. See our other Tamper-Resistant Outlets.
