Even if you don't have an in-ground sprinkler system, you can still automate your watering schedule. Connect your hose to a remote timer, and you'll be able to water your yard on your specified schedule, even if you forget or are on vacation. The Hose Faucet Timer W/Remote connects easily using snap connectors and offers a wide variety of watering times and days. The timer runs on two 9-volt batteries, sold separately.

Water every day, every two or three days, or on specified days using the Hose Faucet Timer W/Remote. You can also start the watering manually for one to 360 minutes; this will not alter the programmed watering schedule. Select up to four start times per day, ideal for morning and evening watering in warm climates. Rain in the forecast? Stop the process for 24 hours just in case; the timer will go back to its scheduled program without additional input after this period.
Mount the timer next to the hose or on any wall up to 25 feet away for remote operation. The included 25-foot electrical wire connects the timer to valve, which is convenient for locating the timer near an electrical outlet: The Hose Faucet Timer w/Remote can also be powered by a transformer, sold separately. If you don't need this remote feature, try the 2-Dial Hose Faucet Timer, which connects directly at the faucet to provide easy-to-read dial-programming operation.
