Essential Info

If you use a Venstar or Totaline programmable thermostat, you can monitor and control the temperature in your home remotely via telephone to make sure you come home to a comfortable house. The Thermostat Telephone Controller connects to your phone line, and when you call in from any remote phone or cell phone, you can use touchtone buttons or voice commands to check the temperature or adjust settings. The included RF receiver snaps into the RJ-11 port of the 1-Day Programmable Digital Thermostat, 7-Day Programmable Digital Thermostat or 7-Day Dual-Fuel Programmable Digital Thermostat. The controller will accommodate up to four thermostats, so additional RF receivers are available, sold separately.

    Turn on a Light Over the Phone
    A resistor is included to allow you to connect the thermostat to an automation controller to control a light or appliance remotely, as well. This will allow you to turn on a light so that you don't come home to a dark house or turn on the coffee pot to arrive home to a welcoming aroma.

    Works well. Don't have internet at the summer home so needed telephone based control. Voice menus are read very fast. Note that this will only allow you to have two "Settings", which you need to program at the site. You can't just increase or degrease the temperature. You need to set a heat "ENERGY SAVINGS" setting eg. 55F and "COMFORT" setting eg. 72F and choose between the two over the phone.

    This is fabulous! Once the thermostat is installed, the installation and setup of the controller takes less than 5 minutes. Being able to control temp at our vacation home remotely means we're able to use the home much more.

    Setting this up was really easy it only took 5 minutes. It works great and even if you loose power the unit remembers your program settings even when the power is restored. No need to re-program

    Very simple to install basically plug it in and your ready to go. The instructions are easy to follow and works great. I can call with any phone and the controller tells you the current inside temp and gives you your choice of comfort or energy setting

    This is designed cleverly and works and was easy to install. The tough part is the thermostat. It is not possible to program the tempertures from a remote location, just the choice of a hi of lo temp that you have to be on site to set. This is a shortcoming.

    Works great! Had to run a common wire, that luckly was already availible. Check your current stat to see if you have a common wire. If not order the 110807 with it.
