I am very pleased with the thermostat. It is doing every thing I hoped it would do for me, especially the humidity control feature. Good service and quick delivery on a quality product.

Review for 7-Day Programmable Thermostat, Dual Fuel Item# 30412A with the Venstar Add-A-Wireless Thermostat Kit Item# 30419 I've been searching for a thermostat for my heat pump / central A/C that would do the following. 1) Lock out the emergency heat strips (2nd stage heat) durring smart recovery. 2) Lock out the heat pump when heat strips are running. 3) Programable 4) Runtime display for heat and A/C 5) Optional wireless remote sensors This unit dose all this and more, I'd bought two other thermostats from other Mfg. over the past year only to be disapointed. I ordered this with the optional Venstar Add-A-Wireless Thermostat kit and they work very well. Our FL off grade home has 10-12' ceilings, the wired thermstat was in a hall near a return, temp in living areas was always to hot or cold, with the remote thermostat we put it in the L.R. durring the day and MBR at night, now the temp is always right. Had it about 6 weeks, was a bit more expensive than I wanted to pay, but now that I have it our home is much more comfortable all the time,so far very pleased.

This thermostat has tons of features, some of which will even improve the functionality of basic HVAC units (like mine). It was easy to install (once I first installed the "Add-A-Wire" device since I only had 4 thermostat wires). Setting parameters was not completely intuitive, but the instructions were specific and descriptive enough to set each item as needed for my HVAC system. Programming daily temperatures thresholds was simple. Though I can't definitively attribute it to this thermostat, I did notice about a 10% reduction in energy costs starting the month I installed this thermostat, replacing my old 1-day programmable unit, and that's with increasing outdoor temperatures over that month. One complaint: this unit does not support daylight savings time so you'll have to manually change the time on this unit twice a year if you're in an area that observes daylight savings time. For a thermostat this advanced, you'd think they could add something as basic as automatic DST switching.

The thermostat worked exactly as I wanted it to. I love the humidity control using your AC mode.

This thermostat is very good - I'd buy it over the T1700 and T1800 because it has the humidity module which give accurate humidity readings built in. It was easy to install and does everything the T1700 and T1800 thermostats do plus more. Quite a piece of technology for the price. I also have mine one the Insteon wireless network and internet and all works well - 5 stars
