Essential Info

The Venstar Wireless Thermostat (also part of the Wireless Thermostat Kit), requires the use of two AA Lithium batteries for operation. This Battery Eliminator is an optional plug-in power adapter that will replace the need and hassle to replace costly batteries. It simply connects to the wireless thermostat and plugs into any standard wall outlet.

    We bought the plug in power supply for the Venstar thermostat. This is ok unless the power goes out. Even with the batteries installed, once you plug in the adapter, the batteries are disconnected, therefore if the power goes out, the unit forgets it's settings. It'd be nice if the batteries could back up the hard wired power.

    Keep mine plugged in 15 hrs a day. Only issue is no electricity resets date and time. everything else is still saved.
