Overview

  • Easily move the heat from a fireplace, or cool air from a window air conditioner, to an adjacent space
  • Great for venting rooms that always seem stuffy or smokey

Essential Info

In every home, there always seems to be at least one room that's always too hot or too cold. Regulating the temperature in that room is now substantially easier with the Room-to-Room Fan, a two-speed, in-wall ventilation system that moves heated or cooled air between rooms. This built-in solution is ideal for balancing room temperatures for maximum comfort, even in parts of the house that aren't getting their fair share of heat or cool air, like garages, enclosed patios, workshops or add-ons.

What's Included

  • Room-to-Room Fan
  • More Info

    Flexible Installation
The Room-to-Room Fan is built with a telescoping feature that allows it to accommodate any normal drywall or paneled stud construction wall from 3.5" to 6.5" thick. The air discharge is on the cord/switch side (one-way air flow). The fan tube diameter is approximately 8". Grille diameter is approximately 9.75". Weight: 5 lbs. Power is provided through a 10-ft. power cord with a grounded plug (use of extension cords is not recommended).

    Two Speeds
The Room-to-Room Fan has a High-/Low-Speed rocker switch, with a Center Off position. At high speed, it moves about 200 cubic feet of air per minute (CFM) and uses 60 watts. At low speeds, it moves about 125 cubic feet of air per minute (CFM) and uses 50 watts.

    Quiet Operation
Sound levels are 51dB on high speed and 49dB at low speed — about that of a desktop computer fan.

    Extremely Safe
The Room-to-Room Fan has been rigorously tested to ANSI/UL Standard 507, and is ETL Listed. The housing is made of galvanized sheet metal, with grilles made from high-impact, flame-retardant ABS. The electric motor is a Class B, thermally-protected motor.

    Upgraded Model Available
A Room-to-Room Fan is also available with a rotating grille, which allows airflow direction to be changed for comfort, and it also offers variable speed adjusting, rather than two static speeds.

This is the second one of these that I've purchased. The first worked so well at moving air from the living room to the kitchen, I bought another to hlp move heat into my bedroom. Great product!
    RAYMOND -- monroe, NY   10/27/2011
Very nice fan and works great for what I needed it for. It's quieter than I was expecting it to be though I only use the low speed. I have a heated porch that has lots of plants and a hot tub. After installing a pellet stove last year, the furnace doesn't run much anymore so the porch doesn't get any heat. Plus, the pellet stove can make the living room a little too hot anyway. I put this fan in the wall between the porch and living room. I made a thermostat extension cord by using a line level electric baseboard thermostat in a box hung on the wall. The fan plugs into that and I keep the fan switch on at all times. I set the thermostat at whatever I want - Usually about 62 degrees and it keeps the porch warm. With this setup, the fan only runs when needed and I don't have to touch it.
CELESTE -- colorado springs, CO   10/3/2011
This fan works well in the location I installed it to take some heat away from a cooler/icemaker. I do not hear any noise from this fan as the icemaker makes a bit of noise. I wish it had a built-in timer so that I do not have to physically turn it off and on. I will likely have to purchase a timer module to plug it into. I am please with the size and how it looks and sounds in this location.
    DAWN M -- college park, MD   9/23/2011
Used this fan to bring fresh air into a tightly-sealed home recording studio via a very quiet adjacent room. Product works great and we paired it with a very affordable remote-controlled power outlet to easily turn off the fan when recording (not that noisy but too noisy for a studio). Tip for installation, be sure to use the inside of the metal casing as a template and try to get your hole cut for a tight fit because there won't be much room between the hole and the mounting screws.
    GEORGE -- salisbury, MD   8/29/2011
Quiet and effective. Fan speed varies with cross drafts while windows are open which can be annoying. Does a good job moving air into the next room.
    JIM -- denver, CO   8/21/2011
I am very satisfied with the Sun Court roon to room fan. It accom;plishes just what I wanted: moving cool and fresh air from one room to the next. Easy to install with proper tools in one hour or less. Directions are fine but you should also beware of where electrical wires might be in the area you intend to install the fan.
    RON -- jacksonville, FL   8/20/2011
this is my 2nd one I have purchased work great for circulation in a rack or closet to get the hot air out
CLYDE A -- howey in the hills, FL   4/25/2011
Good quality, nice appearance but should be quieter at least on the low setting. The noise makes it unsuitable for a sleeping area. Did enjoy the prompt shipping.
HARRY L. -- three mile bay, NY   4/4/2011
Works Great - Improved the temperature in our "cold" room quite dramatically!
    DAVID -- brewer, ME   2/27/2011
louder then I thought it would be and whistles when on high speed. Other then that easy to install and is doing the job I expected.
JERRY -- st. charles, MO   2/22/2011
It's all it says it is. Quiet and works very well moving air from room with wood stove into long hall to the bedrooms. Good quality.
    LEE C. -- van, TX   2/13/2011
Precisely what we expected and wanted. Quiet and efficient in moving the conditioned air where we want it.
    FRASER -- ridgefield, CT   2/13/2011
I don't know how this works with a/c, I bought it to transfer heat from a wood stove to an adjoining room. I had an electronic thermostat and it didn't make 1 bit of difference
    LAURIE -- quilcene, WA   2/7/2011
My husband installed a room to room fan in the home of our daughter and son-in-law. They love it! It effectively moves heated air from the living room wood stove into the chilly kitchen. It was easy to install and plugs in to an existing outlet. The kitchen is now pleasant to work in through the winter.
KEVIN -- new fairfield, CT   1/28/2011
I have not installed these fans because I did not realize that there was a header above the door so was unable to put it there. They do look like the ideal solution if you have the area to put them.
    LINDELL L -- lawson, MO   1/22/2011
Installed fairly easily. Works really well. Could have used a direct wire version instead of plug-in.
    GEORGE -- natick, MA   1/22/2011
This was just what I was looking for. I use it in our furnace room, that I just put doors on. Its not too noise but its in our basement so I don't really care too much.
MARCIA -- rogers city, MI   1/8/2011
Didn't take long to recieve...everything was there!!installed by my husband..and works great! I would order from them again...
    RENE -- farmington, NH   1/3/2011
The fan works great. Moves alot of air. A little noisy on high but we run it on low
JOSEPH -- iron mountain, MI   12/18/2010
Very satisfied with the quality and quiet operation of this fan for the low price. Installation instructions are easy to follow, and it blends well into interior spaces.
