The Web Communicating Thermostat Manager allows you to program, monitor, and control your home's or office's heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system from anywhere in the world, using any web browser. By installing Web Communicating Thermostats in your building, you establish a ZigBee mesh network, with each thermostat acting as a repeater to enhance signal reliability and extend the range of the thermostat manager. Connect up to 1000 thermostats to this wireless network. Enroll thermostats into groups for easier programming. You may enter an unlimited number of schedules for completely custom programming of your HVAC system. Controls most residential and commercial types of HVAC system through an intuitive web-based dashboard. Three levels of secure access privileges support occupants, owners, and contractors.

Zigbee is a specification for a suite of high level communication protocols using small, low-power digital radios based on the IEEE 802.15.4-2003 standard for Low-Rate Wireless Personal Area Networks LR-WPANs) for wireless devices needing low rates of data transfer. The technology defined by the ZigBee specification is
intended to be simpler and less expensive than other WPANs, such as Bluetooth. ZigBee is targeted at radio frequency (RF) applications that require a low data rate, long battery life, and secure networking. Each thermostat connects wirelessly through a secure ZigBee mesh network that allows each thermostat to act as a repeater within the network, as well as extending the signal range.
