Essential Info
Do you have a room in your home that is always too hot or too cold? Maybe it's because that room receives more than its fair share of the heated or air conditioned air from your system. Adding zone controls to your system is the solution. This panel can control up to 6 zones, wirelessly. Each duct should have a motorized damper installed, powered by a 24VAC transformer. The signals to control the dampers are sent via RF, so there's no need to string more cables. Each zone requires its own wireless thermostat. When your HVAC system comes on, this panel reads the temperature of the system air, using two duct sensors (included), compares the heated or cooled air to the temperature set on each zone's thermostat, and commands the various dampers to open accordingly. LCD display panel shows programming info. Requires its own 24VAC 40VA power supply (cannot be operated from existing HVAC system power), which can also be used to power the dampers if you wish.
