As always, Aprilaire is compatible with all major home control systems, but now one thermostat controls all types of HVAC equipment, eliminating guesswork. In addition, each unit has a Message Center display that opens up new possibilities for enhancing your system. The message center not only simplifies setup and addressing, it can also display custom messages generated by your home control system for total ease of use.

One Thermostat For All Equipment

Thermostat selection is simple, assuring the correct thermostat for the job every time. The Aprilaire Communicating Thermostat is compatible with virtually any type of system, including single-stage or multi-stage, heat/ cool systems or heat pumps. It also works with heating and cooling systems having separate power supplies. The HVAC Distribution Panel for the Communicating Thermostat System Controller is a switch-controlled communication bus that can be wired to eight Aprilaire Communicating Thermostats, thus allowing thermostat communication to be turned on and off at one convenient location.

Control the Heat From Your Computer

Manage comfort and control the energy costs that heating and cooling represent with the System Controller (sold separately). The System Controller connects to your distribution panel and computer, and its intuitive interface allows you to establish individual thermostat schedules and set basic system-wide settings.

Convenient Message Center

A convenient alphanumeric display provides simple setup and addressing through menu-driven options. The message center can also be used by a home automation system to display virtually any type of system information, including security system status, weather conditions, HVAC servicing alerts, Caller ID information, system status, etc. The Message Center window consists of 2 lines of up to 16 characters, and it comes with scroll buttons that allow you to scroll through menu selections.

Elegant Backlighting

Full backlighting of both displays eliminates the inconvenience of viewing in dimly lit spaces. This feature is user-selectable to turn on based on light level or any time there is a button pressed.

Large, Easy-to-Read Display

The large main display assures you can easily view set points, outdoor/ remote temperature, fan status and the network communications at a glance. The main display provides all information about the comfort settings and current conditions, including room temperature, mode of operation, heat/cool set points, fan ON or AUTO, remote or outdoor temperature (with optional sensor), relative humidity (with optional sensor) and more.

Integrated Communication Card

The Aprilaire Communicating Thermostat has an integrated communication card, which simplifies wiring, reduces components and extends the wire run distance to as much as 4,000 feet from the distribution panel wiring bus. Addressing each thermostat is now done in the message center through the setup menus.

Also Works in Standalone Operation

As always, the Aprilaire Communicating Thermostat provides you with peace of mind as a standalone controller, whether or not the computer controller or automation system is up and running.
