Essential Info

Imagine being able to walk into a room, press a button and have the airflow only to that room immediately boosted by up to 80 percent, quietly. Increase ventilation to selected areas when guests are over, equalize temperatures in rooms that are too hot or too cold, or build your own power-circulated HVAC system. Installation is easy: Simply cut the flexible or rigid duct where you want the fan installed, insert the duct,and then seal the duct with a nylon strap (for flexible ducts) or sheet metal screws (for rigid ducts).

This 10-Inch In-Line Duct Fan uses high-performance balanced aluminum fan blades, and the fan comes with approximately 6-inch wire leads.

    In-Line Duct Fans can be wired directly to a wall switch for manual control or to an HVAC system (an optional 110V relay may be required). To turn on the duct fan automatically only when there is air flow, just add the optional #3018 DuctStat Duct Fan Thermostat. The DuctStat requires that the duct fan have a 110V plug end.

    For X10 control, use a #2002SHL ApplianceLinc Module (plug-in) or #2250 Leviton Fixture Relay Module (in-line wiring) to obtain remote X10 control of the booster.

    For 2 years I had two of these in my central AC system, in Florida. They made all the difference in the world, dramatically reducing AC load and therefore the electric bill. Since then, I had my ductwork completely redone. So, it sat in the garage for about a year. I then decided to fix up a window AC to my pop-up camper. I use this as an exhaust blower for the ductwork running out of the AC. Once again, works like a charm and is pretty quiet.

    Purchased a year ago...this is the second one for me as the 1st one siezed up after a year. The failure was precluded by a Lot of noise rattling/Squeaking. Sure enough the second unit is doing the same thing! I have better things to do than replace these every year and a half! I will look elsewhere for a more expensive & reliable fan.
