Whether used for your residence or vacation home, you'll love the convenience the telephone controller brings. Have you ever forgotten to turn down the heat before you left home? Just pick up the phone and dial a code to put your thermostat into the energy-saving vacation mode. Planning a weekend at your vacation home? Simply make a phone call a few hours before you arrive and program the thermostat to resume normal operation.
The Standard Controller (300601) directly controls the 7-Day Programmable (#300610) and Hot Water Heating Systems Thermostat (#300609) thermostats. The additional relay output is provide for other brands of thermostats and control them by opening or closing the connections between the thermostat and the heating equipment. This "dry-contact" relay output can also be used for other home automation purposes like turning on lights or activating an electric water heater controlled by our 30-Amp Appliance Relay Module. The telephone controller is also compatible with the Digital Thermostat #300600, and 3600w 2-Pole Baseboard Thermostat #300607B.
The telephone controller is fully compatible with answering machines. Just call home, let the phone ring once, and hang up. Call back within 30 seconds and the telephone controller will answer on the first ring. Other features include a one-touch key on the front panel to activate or deactivate each output.
Memory is non-volatile -- it won't lose settings during power outages.
