Works as advertised. Easy install. Call the cabin from the cell phone an hour or two before the expected arrival, turn the furnace on. Warm when we get there.

1/13/2011 Sorry about the poor rating I have had this controller for many years and have been very, very happy with it. However 4 years ago I switched to comcast from AT&T telephone service and the unit will not work with comcast. I was lucky and had a AT&T business line extension in my house and switched the X 10 to that line and it work well. Again I was very happy until a month ago, The unit produced a hi pitch when I called into it. It did not work! No problem, I was happy with the product so I just re-ordered another X 10. Much to my surprise and dismay I go the same hi pitch when I called into the X 10. It seems AT& T has installed fiber-optic cable on our street, I do not have the fiber optic service, but my X 10 does not work any longer either, I am very disappointed that I have loss the use of my X 10 it was a great product while it lasted for me. I called the company directly about it but they denied having any problems with it. Now I have the two perfectly good X 10's that I cannot use. Thanks for asking Mike

When it works - it can't be beat. Over the past four years, this is my third controller. The first stopped working and as it was still under warranty, was replaced at absolutely no cost. The second worked for two years and again stopped - warranty was measured relative to the first device and so had to buy the third one at full price. Arriving home to a warm house, however, is worth what I'm calling the annual subscription rate.

It's a great product, but does seem vulnerable to power surges or something. This is our third in 6 yrs.

Both units arrived quickly and are installed. They are working well as anticipated to provide a phone operated thermostat switch.

Simple but works well. Hiding the telephone and thermostat connections in the case would have been nice.

So far, this unit seems to work as advertised and is exactly what we were looking for.

Very simple to install and operate. Works flawlessly so far.

The first unit I got was defective which caused extra expense and effort to install. You must install it with an Aube compatible thermostat. The installation instructions are difficult to follow. Once correctly installed, however, it does what it was designed to do.
