Control any device in your home with a single touch using this elegant 8-button keypad! This cool wall-mounted keypad works with most RS-485 compatible home control systems - like the RS-485 Network Controller - and lets you control any of the devices in its arsenal. Use it for turning lights on or off or dimming them, adjusting the heat or air conditioning, controlling audio/video devices or even heating up the pool or spa! Just use the included software to create and download up to 96 interactive menu screens. Each menu supports eight 10-letter text items. It even supports .bmp formatted graphics up to 64 x 16 pixels!

Any of the eight dual-position rocker buttons can be individually programmed to perform different functions, depending on the menu selected. For example, you can assign a button to any X10 address, giving you an easy solution for controlling lights, radios or other 110V electronics. The buttons can also be programmed for navigation through other menus, like "go to menu" or "previous menu," making it a cinch for anyone to use. You can even program conditional buttons that pop up when triggered by X10 signals, IR signals or relays. This feature is perfect for doing things like adjusting the heating or cooling systems in rooms that are occupied.
The keypad is equipped with a high-contrast green backlight that can be programmed to stay on continuously, or turn on with a key press (delay time adjustable). And its three LEDs (red, green, yellow) can be individually programmed to turn on, turn off, remain on or blink, based on any conditions. These features make the keypad incredibly easy to find and use in the dark! And because the keypad is connected via a high-performance 4-wire RS-485 network, you can easily transfer individual menu screens or complete setups with other keypads in your home, or a PC, drastically reducing the amount of individual programming required. Plus, each keypad's 64k memory is non-volatile, ensuring that programming is retained during power failures.
The keypad can be daisy chained with up to 16 other keypads using two twisted pairs of Cat. 5 cable (one pair for communication and the other for 12V DC power). Some keypads may require additional power, depending on which home control system you're using. The keypad faceplate measures 4" (W) x 4 3/4" (H) and easily snaps into the included wall-mount enclosure, which measures 3 3/8" (W) x 4" (H) x 2" (D).
