Essential Info

Create a home network without running cat. 5 cable through your walls. By taking advantage of the coaxial cable that delivers your cable programming, you can connect computers, game consoles, or even surveillance cameras without disturbing your cable TV. The Ethernet-Over-Coax TVnet/C Pro adapters are compatible with Windows, Mac, and Linux-based computers. This master unit is required for creating this network; up to eight target units are available and sold separately. Connect one to any available TV coax at a wall plate to transform that cable into a reliable and secure IP network. Sold separately, a DSL or cable modem is required for this system.

    Easy Installation in Seconds
Installing a local area network in a home used to involve running cat. 5 cable through walls. The Ethernet-Over-Coax TVnet/C Pro system reduces installation time and effort significantly, because there is no rewiring necessary, no switch or IP settings, and no software required. It simply expands the functionality of the coaxial cable that already exists in your home. This system is truly plug-and-play: After connecting a TVnet adapter to the video or broadband source, all coax jacks throughout a home become network-enabled. Within seconds, you'll be able to share peripherals and files, add Internet access to any computer, and even connect your home theater devices to this network.

    Connect Any Network-Enabled Device
If your components are network-enabled, you'll be able to add them to your new home network. Connect home theater equipment, surveillance cameras, game consoles, even VoIP handsets and MP3 players for instantaneous access from any connected computer.

    Connecting to an Ethernet Switch
While each TVnet/C Pro network supports one Master and up to eight Target adapters, it is not necessary to have one adapter per Ethernet device. Just as with cat. 5 IP networks, an Ethernet switch/router may be used to increase the number of digital devices in any given room. Just connect one end of an Ethernet cable to the Master or Target and the other end to the uplink port of your switch/router.

Note: This network is not compatible with DIRECTV or other satellite systems.
