Unlike many structured wiring distribution systems, which only allow for the distribution of telephone, security, and automation devices over inexpensive cat. 5 wiring, the Greyfox structured wiring system also allows for the distribution of audio and video entertainment throughout your home. Once you've connected your stereo system to your wiring enclosure, you'll be able to access and control it from any connected room in the house. The Cat. 5 Audio Amplified Volume Control w/IR utilizes Greyfox's cat. 5 audio technology to amplify sound at the volume control and deliver it directly to your speakers (sold separately). All Greyfox structured wiring components are sold separately, as well.

The Cat. 5 Audio Amplified Volume Control w/IR allows manual as well as infrared control of stereo equipment. Compatible with most third-party and universal remote controls (sold separately), you can control the Cat. 5 Audio Amplified Volume Control w/IR without leaving your comfortable seat on the sofa. A dual LED indicates both IR activity and the status of the audio source.
The Cat. 5 Audio Amplified Volume Control w/IR features an unobtrusive in-wall design, fitting into a decorator-style opening in most standard electrical or low-voltage boxes. Its simple and stylish dial knob controls the volume of your stereo system, which is connected through your Greyfox structured wiring enclosure via cat. 5 wiring.
