By installing the Greyfox Intercom System installed in your home, you'll have instant communication with your family at the touch of a button. But that doesn't have to end if the stereo is on. By installing the Cat. 5 Intercom Audio-Interrupt Module in your structured wiring distribution enclosure, you'll be able to interrupt the connected Cat. 5 Audio System whenever the intercom is in use or even when the doorbell rings, so you'll never again miss an important visitor. All components of the Greyfox intercom, audio, and structured wiring distribution systems are sold separately. The Cat. 5 Intercom Audio-Interrupt Module requires the Greyfox Cat. 5 Audio Distribution Module and the Cat. 5 Intercom Module to function properly.

The Cat. 5 Intercom Audio-Interrupt Module works in conjunction with both the Cat. 5 Audio System and the Cat. 5 Intercom System by automatically muting any music that is playing through the Cat. 5 Audio System to allow you to hear any pages over the Cat. 5 Intercom System and also allows you to hear the Door Chime throughout the home on the Cat. 5 Audio System speakers.
Once the Cat. 5 Intercom System remains inactive for 10 seconds, the audio level on the Cat. 5 Audio System is automatically restored to its previous level, so you won't need to reset your musical entertainment. The Cat. 5 Intercom Audio Interrupt Module installs in a standard single bay in any Greyfox enclosure and receives its 24V DC power from the Cat. 5 Audio Distribution Module.
