A Thermostat Extension Cable from HeatTrak is an accessory for use with their Residential Heating Stair Mat and Residential Heating Walkway Mat. The Thermostat Extension Cable is 10 inches long and plugs directly into a 120V electrical outlet and then connects to a HeatTrak GFCI Power Unit. Once connected it will control the flow of power to the power unit and thus have the ability to automatically turn on and off the heating mats. The temperature sensor in the Thermostat Cable is set to turn on the heating mats when the temperature drops below 35°F and then automatically turn the mats off once the temperature reaches 50°F. The Thermostat Extension Cable has a built-in LED indicator light to provide visual confirmation of when it has activated the heating mats.
