The GFCI Power Unit for Heating Mats from HeatTrak is a required accessory needed to connect your Residential Heating Stair Mat and/or Residential Heating Walkway Mat to an electrical outlet. One individual Power Unit can flow power to as many as 15 Heating Stair Mats or 5 Heating Walkway Mats. Each unit can support up to 13 amps also allowing for mixing and matching of stair mats and walkway mats on the same power unit. For setups that exceed 13 amps an additional Power Unit will need to be purchased. Each Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI) Power Unit has a watertight connection to either the first or last mat in the in system allowing it to be left outside for use all winter. The Power Unit is rainproof with a 6 foot cord to connect it to a 120V electrical outlet to transfer power to the heating mats. For remote control activation the GFCI Power Unit can be connected to a Wireless Switch and Keyfob, sold separately.

The GFCI Power Unit length can be extended for applications where 6 feet is not enough to connect power outlet to heated mat. For these applications HeatTrak offers the following Watertight Cable Extender lengths, each sold separately:
