    exactly what I expected.
MARY BETH -- union city, NJ   12/19/2013
i had to return the first sensor. it flickered when triggered and would go through phases of turning on and off repeatedly. i returned it. service was good and prompt but second sensor didn't work any with it for now
    CODY -- amarillo, TX   4/24/2013
Quit working after a week. Installed by licensed electrician
SCOTT -- montgomery village, MD   12/28/2012
This sensor works exactly as expected. The installation instructions are adequate, but nothing better or worse than any other fixture I've seen. The three-way installation is a little tricky as a result, but doable.

I've read some reviews about people having differences in their wiring compared to the diagram provided. There are a few different ways to wire a 3 way switch depending on the setup of the house and the electrician who wired it. Do it yourself electricians should be certain they know what their doing, or they may put their lives and homes at risk

Leviton PR180 Unit installed in 3-way circuit more than 1-yr ago; generally works fine. Occasionally will activate without any occupancy in the hall. From reading various specifications, most likely this is due to activation of the air conditioner system. Unit has adjustment for time and ambient light. Would be helpful to have a sensitivity adjustment.
    MARK -- wellesley, MA   6/2/2011
Will only work with lights controlled by up to two switches.
    DOUGLAS -- gurnee, IL   5/20/2011
These are pretty good, but one of them the switch has snapped off. A $20+ light switch could stand to be a bit more sturdy.
    JEFF -- paradise, XX   3/14/2011
Product was exactly what I wanted. Worked great! Prompt delivery from Smarthome, will definitely order from them again.
    MARTIN -- orlando, FL   10/2/2010
Unit was installed in a hallway with a 3-way switch. We are very happy overall with the performance of the sensor. Installation instructions were ok - diagrams need a little work for clarity.
    MICHAEL A -- delta, BC   8/23/2010
Good service - fast delivery, what I wanted
Not technically challenged -- Boca Raton FL   8/9/2010
I bought it for the hallway where the kids always leave the light on. I have four switches that control those lights. Fortunatly using my multi meter and some patience I managed to put it in the location I wanted and have all switches work including the motion sensor. All the other switches are taped so the kids can't use them anyway. UNFORTUNATLY we replaced all the bulbs with the new compact flourescent energy saving bulbs and if you turn it on manually the lights go on but if you use the sensor the lights flicker. This makes no sense because the sensor should trigger a relay just like the on/off switch but obviously not so now I will have to return it and find something else.
    JAMES A -- manchester, CA   8/2/2010
Quick delivery, all three in one small box(big deal these days) easy to install and they work just as I was expecting. I am ordering two more.
    GREGORY -- eastpoint, FL   6/17/2010
Excellent choice and easy to instal and I am no electrician. wish I could afford to do every room and entrance way.
Alex -- santa clara, CA   3/21/2010
Work well enough for their purpose. These sensors are built fairly cheaply and you get what you pay for. However, with judicious use, what you pay for might be exactly what you need. : 1 These switches will NOT work with CFL's, with lamps using a GU-24 2-pin socket, with any variation of the GX-24 4-pin socket, or any modern electronic ballast fluorescent lights. They work with incandescent and halogen lights, as well as old magnetic ballast T12 lights that are being phased out. I have not tried these switches with LED lights. 2 These seem to be of an older design than the manual-on IPP15 or the commercial-grade OSS10 switches. The light sensors stick out further from the wall, and the sensitivity and timeout controls are hidden behind the wallplate cover. The control gradations are not labeled i.e. it's impossible to set the timeout to exactly 5 minutes, or light sensitivity to exactly 100 lumens. By contrast, the IPP15 has a nice timeout dial you can get to without removing the switch cover plate. : 3 A pair of PR180's can be easily used in a 3-way circuit by following these instructions: The setup is actually a dual-switch single-pole the 3-way yellow wire is NOT used. The light stays on as long as EITHER switch has tripped, and not timed out. One BOTH switches time out, the light turns off. Works very well for hallways and stairways. So, they're cheap, cheerful, they see me coming down the stairs from fifteen feet away, and you can stick a pair of them in a three-way circuit. Not bad for $20.
    LASER -- renton, WA   10/26/2009
Great unit, just no good with compact flourescent lighting.
    TIMOTHY -- aptos, CA   5/7/2009
The 3-way wiring instructions only permit the switch to be installed in one of the two 3-way switch positions, depending upon whether that switch is wired to the line or to the load, so you don't get a choice where you want to locate it. Its motion detection sensitivity is relatively low. It doesn't work at all in hot weather if your garage air temperature is near body temperature.
    TOM -- cary, NC   11/29/2007
    item isn't fully functional
    FRANK -- arlington, VA   11/24/2007
my wiring didn't match your diagram... best would be to develop a in home test that would allow homeowners the ability to determine their setup.
FREDDY -- elbertson st, NY   4/27/2007
excellent product i know i will save on my electric bill
