Motion sensor-controlled light switches have been around for years. But until recently, if you wanted to add motion sensor control to two switches, you needed two separate motion sensor units. But that's no longer the case thanks to this Dual Relay Wall Switch Occupancy Sensor that controls two loads from a standard single-gang wall box. It's perfect for adding hands-free motion sensor control to bathroom lights & fans, ceiling lights & fans, kitchen overhead/under-counter lighting or anything else you typically control with two switches.

Flexible Operation for a Variety of Needs
The Dual Relay Wall Switch Occupancy Sensor is compatible with incandescent, fluorescent and low-voltage lighting. Depending on your preference, you can set the unit to operate 24 hours a day, or only when it's dark out. The unit also offers adjustable duration; set the lights to turn off anywhere from 30 seconds to 20 minutes after motion was last sensed.

How Does It Work?
The Dual Relay Wall Switch Occupancy Sensor uses passive infrared (PIR) detection technology to monitor a room through a segmented Fresnel lens. This specialized lens divides the field of view into sensor zones. When a person passes into or out of a sensor zone, the sensor detects motion and switches two separate lighting loads ON. The lights will remain ON as long as motion is being sensed. An exclusive walk-through feature addresses situations where someone may only enter a room momentarily. The walk-through feature provides increased energy savings by preventing the lights from remaining ON for an extended period after only momentary occupancy.

Ambient Light Override
To maximize energy savings, the Ambient Light Override feature prevents the Dual Relay Wall Switch Occupancy Sensor from switching lights ON when there is ample natural sunlight in the room, regardless of occupancy. The push-button can be used to turn lights ON at any time, regardless of the override setting. Adjustable Ambient Light Override ranges from 2 to 500+ lux.

Push-button Manual Override Control
For manual control, the Dual Relay Wall Switch Occupancy Sensor features dual push-button switches that will "toggle" the ON/OFF status of each load. If the lights are OFF, pressing either button 1 or 2 will turn the respective lighting loads ON and keep them ON for as long as the room is occupied. The lights will be turned OFF once the room is vacant, after the delayed-OFF time expires. If the lights are already ON, pressing the push buttons will turn lights OFF and keep them OFF even if the room is occupied. This feature is particularly useful for viewing slide or film presentations. The lights can be turned back ON as needed by simply pressing the buttons. After the delayed-OFF time expires, the unit will resume motion detection operation.

Two Modes of Operation: Conference Room & Class Room
In the Conference Room Mode, whenever the unit detects occupancy after the last time-out, it remembers the previous ON/OFF condition of each load and switches back to that condition (except when both modes are manually switched off, like during slide or film presentations). Conference Room Mode is ideal for maximizing energy savings in areas where lighting is only required when natural illumination is inadequate. In Class Room Mode, both primary and secondary relays always switch lighting ON when someone enters room, regardless of their ON/OFF status during the last period of occupancy. Secondary relay only responds to Ambient Light Override-primary does not, ensuring that you never have to enter a darkened room.

Suitable for Homes or Commercial Applications
The Dual Relay Wall Switch Occupancy Sensor has a 180 field-of-view, providing approximately 2100 square feet of coverage — suitable even for commercial applications. Horizontal field of view may be adjusted between 180 and 32 arc by using integral blinders located on either side of the lens.

Electrical Specifications
One unit can be used for either 120V or 277V lighting. Compatible with both electronic and magnetic ballasts. Each relay is rated for 1200VA when used with most loads or 800-watts when used with incandescent lights. Each relay has its own input for power so they can share one power lead or use power from two different phases. Requires neutral wire. CUL/US Certified, complies with California Title 24 Energy Code and FCC Regulations. The unit requires a ground connection for proper operation. Five year manufacturer warranty.
