The device is battery powered, so no wiring or professional installation is necessary. Using the included mounting bracket and screws, you can mount the light virtually anywhere, on the ceiling, under a cabinet or on the wall. It has a built-in photocell that ensures the LED will only be activated in complete darkness, extending the life of the batteries. When the motion sensor detects movement, the LED will brightly illuminate the area immediately around it. As the sun rises or as the location of the device becomes lit, the LED will shut off, making sure the LED does not come on when light is already present. Additionally, the LED light will automatically shut-off after 30 seconds, another feature that helps provide an extended life for your batteries.
