Essential Info
It's tough to turn the lights on when your hands are full. But that doesn't mean you need to stumble around in the dark when you come home with your arms laden with groceries, kids, laundry or the myriad accoutrements of modern life. The SensorPlug Motion-Sensing Outlet is a passive infrared motion sensor that's triggered when you walk past, instantly turning on a light or even an appliance, such as a fan or a radio. Since the SensorPlug inserts right into a wall outlet, you don't need to wire it in.

More Info

The PIR activates the SensorPlug's outlet when motion is detected and keeps devices on for a user-selected amount of time after the unit stops detecting motion, thus allowing you to keep an electrical device on as long as the room is occupied and motion is detected.
The SensorPlug Motion-Sensing Outlet has two working options. If the device plugged into it is a lamp, it can trigger the lamp to light up whenever you pass by if the ambient light level is low, thus saving both energy and bulb life during the daylight hours. But a fan is attached, you can set the SensorPlug to turn it on when motion is detected regardless of the ambient light level, making sure the room is more comfortable for you at any time of day.
The SensorPlug can be secured to the outlet's wall plate with the included screw. Its circuit is protected by an easy-to-replace fuse, and a spare is included.
