I think the other reviewer on this product was overly negative. I bought this product and have been very happy with it. If you want a wireless system to control pool and other equip so you don't have to go into the pool shed every day, etc. then this system is hard to beat. I had an old Intermatic dial-based control unit, and wanted to upgrade, so this digital version seemed natural choice. Moreover, the same systems from Pentair I have pentair heater were well over $2000, which is outrageous. Could buy a hot new hot tub for that! At $300 this is a great deal. And in truth, its better technology than the Pentair equip. It works by z-wave, so I can log the data etc. I had electrician take out old unit and install this for about $100. Then I installed both the pool water temp and air temp sensors without too much problem bit tricky, but not bad. Interface menus take some getting used to, but a little patience and it eventually comes together. Then I wired it up to the Pentair heater via the fireman's switch and that works well too. All in all, best pool automation system I have found for the money.

The MutliWave is designed to only control the Pentair Variable Speed Pump not the Intelflow pump which explains your problem. The local lock out you speak of is a programming function within the pump, not the control. Even Pentairs controls lock out the pump controls. It was purposely designed that way from Pentair.
