Essential Info
Since they look like traditional wall switches, rocker switches provide a familiar interface to a modern lighting control system and can be mounted in standard switch boxes. Both digital and contact closure rocker switches can be programmed to control any relay in any panel in the system. The Digital Rocker Switch interfaces directly with the lighting control system communication bus using standard category 5 patch cables with RJ45 connectors. All devices have an RJ45 connector and are daisy-chained using Cat. 5 cable to the EM1408MC, EM1416MC Master Relay Panel and/or the EM1408SC (8 circuits) or EM1416SC (16 circuits) Slave Relay Panels. The system is laid out in series (A to B, B to C, C to D) so there is no need to figure out a star or other topology making setup much easier. Once programmed, your lights will come on and off at the times you set. With 32 schedules available every day of the year the options are nearly endless. Never forget to turn the lights off before bed and burglars watching the house will never know you are on vacation.
