Whether you're a seasoned DIY'r or new to home automation, RemoteLinc - INSTEON Plug-In Starter Kit has everything you need to experience remote control of lights and appliances at an affordable price. Using the included RemoteLinc, you can wirelessly turn lights and appliances on or off just as you would with a remote control for your home theater. Included are two lamp modules which will each control a plug-in dimmable lamp and an On/Off module which will control a plug-in non-dimmable fluorescent light or appliance. Each of the six ON/OFF buttons on the RemoteLinc can be set up to control individual or groups of lights and appliances. Dim the lights in your home theater, turn on your fireplace, and turn off the lights in surrounding rooms - all from the comfort of your couch, bed or as you move about your home. ExpandabilityExpand this RemoteLinc kit to include control of other INSTEON dimmers and switches, wire-in / outlet modules, plug-in modules, low-voltage input / output control, and HVAC control to automate lighting and appliances, control the garage door, adjust the temperature and much more. Easy To InstallThe RemoteLinc - INSTEON Plug-In Starter Kit is so easy to install and set up and yet so affordable, you'll want to automate your entire home with INSTEON-compatible products. Each of the modules included with this kit simply plug-in to an existing outlet, with the RemoteLinc only requiring the use of the included batteries. Following the included instructions, start linking the modules to the RemoteLinc for wireless control from almost anywhere in and around your home; RemoteLinc communicates via radio frequency (RF) to the Access Point with a range of up to 150 feet. Please Note: The Access Point will receive RF signals from RemoteLinc and send out an INSTEON signal that will reach other INSTEON modules located on the same electric phase in your home. If you plan to install the included modules on different phases, or plan to expand your INSTEON network to control other lights or appliance on separate phases, we recommend purchasing one more Access Point to ensure reliable communication.
