The INSTEON-Compatible Keypad & Dimmer With Elegant Custom-Etched Buttons
Fill your entire home with personalized mood lighting for any occasion. The INSTEON KeypadLinc Dimmer is more than an in-wall controller and a 600-watt local dimmer. You have your choice of using the installed 6-button keypad with your personalized, custom-etched button labels or changing it to an included 8-button version for a wealth of control options. You can even use the KeypadLinc as a central monitoring and controlling device: Install one by your front door and link up to eight individual lights or groups of lights, and you'll be able to see the on/off status of each light by looking at the keypad. If you forgot to turn off your bedroom light on your way out in the morning, you could simply press the corresponding keypad button to turn it off without having to run all the way back to the bedroom. This dimmer switch can control incandescent bulbs, low-voltage halogen (e.g. track), and other low-voltage lights with magnetic or dimmable electronic transformers. If you need to control a fluorescent light fixture or a non-dimmable appliance, try connecting it to the INSTEON SwitchLinc Relay (Non-Dimming).

You can also install a KeypadLinc in the bedroom to see if the kids have gotten up in the middle of the night. Each KeypadLinc button can perform up to four different functions, such as on, off, brighten, and dim. When you place your order, you'll be contacted to personalize your keypad buttons ("Home," "Away," "Good Night," etc.), which will arrive with your KeypadLinc in 10-14 business days. This custom device comes with six personalized, custom-etched keypad buttons (two large and four small). You can also order a KeypadLinc with eight small personalized, custom-etched keypad buttons if you prefer that configuration.

2. After completing this form, you will receive a confirmation e-mail with your customization order details for your records.

3. Your custom buttons will be created and will arrive along with your KeypadLinc Dimmer via United States Postal Service within 10 to 14 business days.

    Customization Process Explained
    Laser etching your custom labels onto the Custom Keypad Buttons requires a careful, detailed process to ensure your satisfaction. Buttons are secured on a template and placed into our laser etcher. Your designated text is copied directly from the invoice and inputted manually into the computer, and the laser then etches your buttons with your selected text. The template is removed from the laser etcher, and the buttons are prepped, painted, and set to dry. The buttons are polished to a high shine after any excess paint is removed. All Custom Keypad Buttons go through a careful quality-control process before the buttons are packaged and shipped to your home.

    When placing your order, please note:

    • Etching space on small buttons is limited to 7 characters per line, with a maximum of 2 lines per button
    • Etching space on large buttons is limited to 14 characters per line, with a maximum of 2 lines per button
    • Keys are available in white, ivory, almond, grey*, black*, and brown*

    How many times have you jumped into bed and forgotten to turn the lights off? With the KeypadLinc Dimmer you have the convenience of built-in status LEDs so you can see which light has been left on. Then by adding a bedside controller, you can turn off those lights without getting out of bed. Never come home to a dark house again: Install INSTEON HouseLinc Desktop Software on your computer to schedule any KeypadLinc Dimmer or any other INSTEON-compatible device to turn on or off at any specific time or even at sunrise and sunset. The KeypadLinc dimmer can control up to a 600-watt load. If a larger load is required, the INSTEON SwitchLinc Dimmer (High Wattage) is available.

    Easy To Install
    The KeypadLinc Dimmer is easy to install and set up and yet so affordable, you'll be able to replace many of your switches with KeypadLinc dimmers. Just remove the old switch, reattach the line, load, and ground wires with the addition of the neutral wire using the included wire nuts, and you're done. If this is your first INSTEON installation, the best way to purchase a KeypadLinc Dimmer is to buy the complete INSTEON Keypad Dimmer Scene Lighting Starter Kit, which includes everything required to set up your INSTEON network, including two SwitchLinc Dimmers, a pair of INSTEON Access Points to ensure INSTEON network reliability, and the KeypadLinc Dimmer.     White trim frames are included with each KeypadLinc Dimmer, but additional trim frame colors are available and sold separately. Choose the color that best suits your room's décor: Ivory, Almond, Black, Brown, or Grey. Two frames are included in each color-change set. Don't forget to order a matching wall plate, as well.

    Scene Lighting
    Scenes allow you to control multiple lights with one button. With the KeypadLinc's six- or eight-button configuration, you can save and control up to 8 different individual lights, multi-light scenes, or even your whole home with the KeypadLinc Dimmer. Because the KeypadLinc can be a member of more than 400 scenes (i.e. "Movie Time," "Party," "Romance," etc.), you'll be able to launch various lighting scenarios with a press of one of the keypad buttons. These are elegant features usually found only in systems costing tens of thousands of dollars and requiring extensive rewiring of your home. All member lights can ramp to your independently desired brightness levels at your chosen ramp rates, so one set of lights can dim slowly while another set turns off instantly, all controlled with one command from one button.

    Monitor Other Devices
    The buttons on the KeypadLinc Dimmer illuminate when ON signals are sent and when signals are detected from other INSTEON devices linked to the KeypadLinc. This allows the KeypadLinc to monitor lights in other rooms, which is incredibly useful if you want to control lights that aren't easily seen from the location, like those in bedrooms, bathrooms, basements, garages, attics, etc.

    Flexible Setup
    KeypadLinc gives you tremendous flexibility with controlling your lighting system. Other wall-mounted keypads only provide on/off control, each KeypadLinc button can perform up to four different functions. Press a button once for ON; press again for OFF. Press and hold to brighten, press and hold again to dim. If you prefer, turn off the toggle feature to send the same command every time. This is a helpful feature when programming an "all on" command button to press when you get home or "all off" command button to press when you leave for the day.

    Make it Portable
    Mount this keypad in a Tabletop Enclosure, and you'll be able to plug it into any indoor outlet for portable remote control of connected lights and appliances.

    Unlike other switches, the KeypadLinc Dimmer offers the natural feel of high-end dimmers. You'll love the crisp, tactile response with each touch instead of the mushy feeling of other brands. The KeypadLinc Dimmer is designed and manufactured to high-end specifications and goes through over 10 quality control tests before arriving at your doorstep.

    Brightness Levels
    Adjust the brightness level of the controlled light locally by pressing and holding the top or bottom button in 6-button mode or pressing and holding the top left button to brighten in 8-button mode, and pressing and holding it again to dim. This is especially helpful when you want to create a theatrical experience when watching your favorite movies. You can also adjust and control the brightness levels of linked devices by pressing any of the programmed buttons to send signals to brighten or dim an out-of-the-way light. You can link any of the KeypadLinc's buttons to a tabletop ControLinc so when the light that is being controled by both of the linked buttons, it will updated the on/off status that device and show on the KeypadLinc button. That way, you won't even have to leave the comfort of your chaise lounge to see the status of the controlled light. When you turn on the KeypadLinc Dimmer, it automatically comes on to full brightness. Setting the preset on level will make the dimmer stop at your preferred choice of 32 brightness levels. With software you can control brightness levels in 1% increments for ultimate flexibility. Each button has an elegant white LED that indicates the current on/off status of the lights being controlled. To match your room's décor, a KeypadLinc LED Kit, 4-Color is available with four colors: red, blue, amber, and green.

    Adjustable Ramp Rate
    You can also adjust the speed at which the controlled light turns on or off, known as the ramp rate. For example, you may want the light in the stairwell to turn on instantly so you can see where you're walking. Alternatively, you may want the light in the master bathroom to ramp up in a soft, gentle fashion so you're not blinded in the middle of the night. The ramp rate is adjustable between 0.1 seconds and 9 seconds if programmed locally. The ramp rate can extend up to 9 minutes (for a simulated sunrise or sunset) if programmed remotely. This is a great addition to your morning alarm, slowly turning the light on to help you wake up. If you have programmed a slow ramp rate and want to make the light come on instantly, simply double tap the top button. To turn the light off quickly, double tap the bottom button.

    Create Multi-Way Circuits
    The KeypadLinc Dimmer allows you to customize your lighting setup no matter how your house is wired. It's simple to create a 3-, 4-, or 5-way circuit. First replace all of the existing switches you want to include in the circuit with either a KeypadLinc, SwitchLinc Dimmer, or a SwitchLinc Relay. The main dimmer must be connected to the standard wires, load, line, neutral, and ground. The secondary switches only need to be connected to line, neutral, and ground. No traveler wires are needed, so it is easy to place one of the switches wherever you need it. Cross-linking all of the companion dimmers to the master dimmer is the last step in the process. Note: Any time the KeypadLinc Dimmers are placed directly adjacent to one another or any other electronic dimming switch, you must subtract 200 watts of capacity from each dimmer. If three dimmers are adjacent to one another, then 400 watts must be subtracted from the capacity of the center dimmer. If more capacity is needed, try a higher-rated INSTEON SwitchLinc Dimmer (High Wattage).

    Compatibility
    KeypadLinc Dimmer is fully INSTEON compatible and X10 ready. Homeowners with existing X10 networks can easily migrate to an INSTEON network without having to discard all their existing X10 devices. The KeypadLinc Dimmer can respond to X10 commands from an X10 controller, and it can send X10 commands to X10 devices. Please note that INSTEON devices repeat INSTEON signals but not X10.

    Slim Design
    Similar dimmers are up to 50-percent deeper than the KeypadLinc Dimmer. Thanks to its slim design, it makes installation easy, even in small junction boxes.

    Non-non-volatileolatile Memory
    All KeypadLinc Dimmer settings are stored in non-volatile memory and are not lost during power failures. Additionally, in the event of a power loss, the KeypadLinc Dimmer will return to its last brightness level when power is restored.
