INSTEON SwitchLinc Dimmer (High Wattage) — Our Most Powerful Remote-Controllable Dimmer
Fill your entire home with personalized mood lighting for any occasion. From pressing the paddle directly to dim the lights to having all of your lights turn off with the press of a single button, this dimmer can do it all. The INSTEON SwitchLinc Dimmer (High Wattage) has 66 percent more load capacity than the 600-watt standard INSTEON SwitchLinc Dimmer (#2476D). This switch gives you the most flexibility when controlling numerous fixtures and when installing multiple dimmers in the same wall gang box. Just like the standard SwitchLinc Dimmer, the High-Wattage SwitchLinc Dimmer has 32 brightness levels, which makes setting your lights to the perfect intensity very easy. This dimmer switch can control incandescent loads; if you need to control a fluorescent light fixture, or a non-dimmable appliance, try the INSTEON SwitchLinc Relay (Non-Dimmable).

How many times have you jumped into bed and forgotten to turn the lights off? With the SwitchLinc Dimmer's remote control ability, you can have the convenience of adding a bedside controller to turn off your lights after you get into bed. Never come home to a dark house again: Install Smarthome Manager Essential's Timer Software on your computer to schedule any High-Wattage INSTEON SwitchLinc Dimmer or any other INSTEON-compatible device to turn on or off at any specific time or even at sunrise and sunset. This SwitchLinc Dimmer can control up to a 1000-watt load. If you are using a load under 600 watts, use the INSTEON SwitchLinc Dimmer.

Easy To Install
The High-Wattage INSTEON SwitchLinc Dimmer is so easy to install and set up and yet so affordable, you'll want to replace all your switches with SwitchLinc Dimmers. Just remove the old switch, reattach the line, load, and ground wires with the addition of the neutral wire using the included wire nuts, and you're done. If this is your first INSTEON installation, the best way to purchase a SwitchLinc Dimmer is to buy the complete INSTEON Keypad Dimmer Scene Lighting Starter Kit. It includes everything required to set up your INSTEON network, including two SwitchLinc Dimmers, a pair of INSTEON Access Points to ensure INSTEON network reliability, and the KeypadLinc Dimmer. Beautiful, High-Quality Construction
Unlike other switches, the High-Wattage INSTEON SwitchLinc Dimmer offers the natural feel of high-end dimmers. You'll love the crisp, tactile response with each touch instead of the mushy feeling of other brands. The SwitchLinc Dimmer is designed and manufactured to high-end specifications and goes through over 10 quality control tests before arriving at your doorstep. This modern Decora-style switch will blend with any room's design. White paddles are included with each SwitchLinc Dimmer, but additional paddle colors are available and sold separately. Choose the color that best suits your room's decor: Ivory, Almond, Black, Brown, or Grey. Two paddles are included in each color-change set. Don't forget to order a matching wall plate. If you prefer, you can purchase High-Wattage SwitchLinc with the color already changed: This INSTEON SwitchLinc Dimmer is available in Ivory and Almond.

Brightness Levels
You can adjust the brightness level of the controlled lamp locally by pressing and holding the top or bottom of the High-Wattage INSTEON SwitchLinc Dimmer. This is especially helpful when you want to create a theatrical experience when watching your favorite movie. You can also adjust the brightness remotely by using a controller that sends signals to brighten or dim the light. Now you won't even have to leave the comfort of your chaise lounge to dim the light: Your tabletop ControLinc can be placed within arm's reach and plugged into any outlet. When you turn on the SwitchLinc Dimmer, it automatically comes on to full brightness. Setting the preset on level will make the dimmer stop at your preferred choice of 32 brightness levels. This is a great feature for your home theater to improve TV viewing. An elegant brightness bar of 8 white LEDs indicates the current brightness of the lights being controlled. To match your room's décor, an LED color change-out kit is available with four colors: red, blue, amber, and green. Green, blue, red, and amber LED light pipes are also available in 4-pair packs.

Adjustable Ramp Rate
You can adjust the speed at which the controlled light turns on or off, also known as the ramp rate. For example, you may want the light in the stairwell to turn on instantly so you can see where you're walking. Alternatively, you may want the light in the master bathroom to ramp up in a soft, gentle fashion so you're not blinded in the middle of the night. The ramp rate is adjustable between 0.1 seconds and 9 seconds if programmed locally. The ramp rate can extend up to 9 minutes (for a simulated sunrise or sunset) if programmed remotely. This is a great addition to your morning alarm, slowly turning the light on to help you wake up. If you have programmed a slow ramp rate and want to make the light come on instantly, simply double tap the paddle top. To turn the light off quickly, double tap the paddle bottom.

Create Multi-Way Circuits
The SwitchLinc Dimmer allows you to customize your lighting setup no matter how your house is wired. It's simple to create a 3-, 4-, or 5-way circuit. First replace all of the existing switches you want to include in the circuit with SwitchLinc Dimmers. The main dimmer must be connected to the standard wires, load, line, neutral, and ground. The secondary dimmers only need to be connected to line, neutral, and ground. No traveler wires are needed, so it is easy to place one of the dimmers wherever you need it. Cross-linking all of the companion dimmers to the master dimmer is the last step in the process. Now you have a flexible, fully functional multi-way circuit. Note: Any time the High-Wattage SwitchLinc Dimmers are placed direct adjacent to one another, you must subtract 200 watts of capacity from each dimmer. If three dimmers are adjacent to one another, then 400 watts must be subtracted from the capacity of the center dimmer.

Scene Lighting
Scenes allow you to control multiple lights, rooms or even the whole home with a single command. Because the High-Wattage SwitchLinc Dimmer can be a member of more than 400 scenes (i.e. "Movie Time," "Party," "Romance," etc.), you'll be able to launch various lighting scenarios with a single button press. These are elegant features usually found only in systems costing tens of thousands of dollars and requiring extensive rewiring of your home. All member lights can ramp to your independently desired brightness levels at your chosen ramp rate(s). So one set of lights can dim slowly, while another set turns off instantly, all controlled with one command from one button. If you want to control multiple scenes for one controller, upgrade to the INSTEON KeypadLinc Dimmer.

Compatibility
The High-Wattage SwitchLinc Dimmer is fully INSTEON compatible and X10 ready. Homeowners with existing X10 networks can easily migrate to an INSTEON network without having to discard all their existing X10 devices. X10 ready means that it can respond to X10 commands from an X10 controller and it can send X10 commands to X10 devices. Please note that INSTEON devices repeat INSTEON signals but not X10.

Slim Design
Similar dimmers are up to 50 percent deeper than the SwitchLinc Dimmer. Thanks to its slim design, it makes installation easy even in small junction boxes.

Non-Volatile Memory
All SwitchLinc Dimmer settings are stored in non-volatile memory and are not lost during power failures. Additionally, in the event of a power loss, the SwitchLinc Dimmer will return to its last brightness level when power is restored.
