Works well, nice piece, but still pricey. Looks good and the led is good for night time "finding the switch in the dark"

I bought this product because it accepts X10 commands and can be used to control florescent and LED lights. My first purchase was in June 2012. By January 2013 it had stopped accepting X10 commands, regardless of how many times I reset it to factory conditions and tried to reenter the X10 address. I returned the product on warranty and received another one. That one locked up to the point of doing absolutely nothing twice in a month. Each time reset to factory condition got it working again. I again returned the product on warranty. We will see whether I have received a good one this time. I feel that I have been doing quality control that should have been done at the factory.

I haven't been able to test its functionality in either X-10 or Insteon mode for reasons having nothing to do with switch. I feel that the price is far to high being that it much costlier than the X-10 only switch it replaced. Also, the idea of having the LED lit when the load is off goes against all human interfaces I have ever seen.

Installation and programming were a snap! Installed three of these switchs to control outide lights and things worked great!

Does not work well with florescent lighting, difficult to program multiple units.

Does what it needs to. Reliable. Only downside, not RF capable (need a gateway).

Installation was easy for my project. A simple single switch for a single exterior flood light. However, programming it proved to be somewhat difficult for my first using this product plus it was being using with my X10 system. Once it was installed and programmed, it seemed to work great for about 6 months and then it started having problems shutting off. I ended up removing it from the circuit and replacing it was a standard light switch. I have not reinstalled the new ToggleLinc switch and I am not sure if I will, at least for that application. Returning the defective one proved to be somewhat difficult since it was purchased through Amazon. After several calls between Smarthome and Amazon, I was able get someone at Smarthome to help me. However, the first person neglected to include the return information with the new switch that they sent me. Therefore, I had to call again and get that information and that caused my credit to be delayed. A credit for the charge they put on my card for the replacement switch. I also think this switch is overpriced, but it was the only one that fit my application.

I installed an Insteon lighting system last month. When it works it is fantastic. Unfortunately I have had to replace this switch twice. The toggle stopped working and the switch wouldn't respond to the controllor. Hopefully the replacement switch will do the trick.

Needs to have a better "feel" to the switch (like the Levitons).
