Cool unit. Hooked it up to a cheap thermostat then linked to an appliance module to control a heater in that remote room. Works like a charm.

The product is great and would receive 5 stars if it were not for their poor reliability. This purchase was to replace another I/O Linc that had failed. This was the second failure in a 2 month period for this type of Interface. Both failures were the same with the output relay failing to operate. Both failures were after slightly over a year old in operation with my garage doors. I now am forced to buy replacements with the added 7 year warranty. If they only last a year, the extra warranty period should pay off!

Just what I needed to control a geothermal unit with only 208V and 24V supplies. Much cheaper and more reliable than a new thermostat.

good product. i have three in use in my house for various purposes - acting as relay, detector, or both. some things that i would improve: first, in order to configure linking you need to push and hold the set button until you see an LED blink, but the button is positioned such that when you are pushing and holding it, your finger covers the LED (bad design shared with other insteon plug-in modules also). second, i would say reliability is "iffy" - i've had one of my three die on me. my oldest one is the one that died, so let's hope any reliability problems were linked to "first generation" product, as has been the case with some other insteon products.

I use this to control my garage door opener. Works well. I wish they made one with dual contacts instead of having to buy two.

Not yet installed, but see no problems having it work to turn on my gas fireplace.

Great products and service. Unfortunately the unit I received was defective but after calling their customer service, they called me back within minutes and handled the problem perfectly. Super customer service!

I am using this as a controller for my garage door. It would be better if SmartLinc could read the status of the input to show the status of the door.
