Overview

  • Wall mount your RemoteLinc 2 anywhere
  • Gang two or more together for more control
  • Can be installed adjacent to existing wired-in switches
  • RemoteLinc 2 can easily be removed for portability or recharging
  • Use with any decorator wallplate

Essential Info

Wall mount your RemoteLinc 2 switch or keypad on any wall. Simply mount the wall bracket with included screws and cover with a decorator wallplate (sold separately), then snap-in your RemoteLinc 2. Works with any decorator wallplate although we recommend the Aspire screwless wallplates.

Multiple brackets can be mounted side-by-side, allowing you to have 2, 3 or more RemoteLinc 2 remotes in a single location.

Want to mount RemoteLinc 2 next to an existing switch? No problem! Just purchase a multi-gang wallplate and mount the bracket to the back of it, screw the wallplate in place and snap RemoteLinc 2 into the opening.

    STEPHEN -- hillard, OH   5/5/2012
Does what it says, but pretty expensive for a piece of plastic, in my opinion.
    BOB -- arley, AL   4/22/2012
Holds RemoteLinc 2 very loosely and moves when pressing the remote button. This happens when mounting to the back of a wall plate instead of directly to the wall.
    BRADLEY -- glenmoore, PA   3/24/2012
    works as advertised
RICHARD -- palm desert, CA   2/23/2012
The small configurable remotes are wonderful and this mounting bracket supports maximum flexibility.
PAUL -- saint paul, MN   2/20/2012
    Great accessory to RemoteLinc 2
    DEB -- timonium, MD   1/23/2012
Glad that you don't need to cut holes in the wall, can just attach with two screws.
    RICH -- ballwin, MO   1/10/2012
False advertizing-implies remote works as wall mounted unit
    PETER -- cary, NC   1/2/2012
    Works fine.
    JAMES -- clifton, VA   12/29/2011
Makes it easy to mount the RemoteLinc 2 in any place making it more convenient to use. It is a little difficult to remove the RemoteLinc 2 in order to charge it, however and I also wonder how long it's capture capabilty will last. The little nubs that catch the RemoteLinc will get looser and looser as it wears, I fear. So far, so good. It would be nice to bundle this with the RemoteLinc 2 and reduce its cost a little (sell the bundle for a dollar extra). It seems too pricey as a separate purchase. It is well made and has metal inserts for the screws (a nice feature).
    SEAN -- derwood, MD   12/26/2011
Part of a slowly expanding installation, these units were easy to install and set up. New users should ensure that they have a neutral wire and space for an InLineLinc before ordering (I checked and did) but otherwise these are a simple installation. In this particular case, the InLineLinc, the RemoteLinc, and the bracket were used to install a wall switch in a room that previously only had a pull-string light. Much nicer to have the wall switch – and even better not to have to pay for pulling cable. The control systems aspect was an added benefit. On the down side, the RemoteLinc switches have a markedly different look and feel from the SwitchLinc and/or standard switches. If your installation includes ganging the devices, know in advance that they won’t look ‘perfect’ and the different feel will be highlighted every time you operate the switches.
    JESSIE O. -- downers grove, IL   12/23/2011
Works great to mount the switch.
RAYMOND -- colorado city, CO   12/8/2011
Works great - again, good fit and finish.
    LYLE -- roswell, GA   10/29/2011
The bracket worked as advertised and was easy to install. Provides a solid foundation for RemoteLinc 2.
EDWARD -- los altos hills, CA   10/29/2011
It does the job, although the fit is a bit loose and the RemoteLinc jiggles around in the bracket.
    Dave D -- here, PA   1/25/2012
2 stars because I like the concept, but this bracket doesn't work on top of an existing wiring box. If there's no wallboard behind the bracket, the RemoteLinc will fall through when you press it. I'm trying to find something to mount behind the bracket to fix this, but I shouldn't have to do that!
Jonathan -- bay area, CA   12/21/2011
This product doesn't work to hold the RemoteLinc. As mentioned in one of the other reviews, it is loose and jiggles around when touched. In my case, it couldn't even get the RemoteLinc to stay in the bracket. With any kind of pressure, the RemoteLinc pops through into the electrical box. I know it says be careful not to overtighten the screws, which I was. I'm going to have to glue a piece of wood over the back of the bracket to prevent it from falling through. I really don't like reaching into an electrical box!
David Schwartz -- walnut creek, CA   12/8/2011
Not very tight. I bought this bracket to mount a RemoteLinc switch under a kitchen cabinet, to add an extra light control where I forgot to hard wire another switch. The bracket does not hold the switch tightly; if feels loose and moves around. It feels like I will knock the switch out of the bracket when groping underneath the cabinet to find it. I think it needs to have an outlet plate to hold the switch securely, and that would be overkill for this hidden switch not to mention inconvenient. Instead of this bracket, I'm going to just use a piece of Velcrotm to hold the switch
    Sergio -- tustin, CA   10/24/2011
I created a wireless 3-way lighting circuit in my room using a SwitchLinc Dimmer 2477D, RemoteLinc Switch and this wall mount bracket. I used the Aspire screwless trim plate to finish it off and it now looks like I ran wire to the other side of my room. The bonus of being able to pop the RemoteLinc out of the mount and carry it to the bedside is awesome.
Matt -- santa ana, California   10/24/2011
Not having a light switch in my office was a constant source of frustration in my home. Every time I would walk into the room I would have to search around in the dark for my floor lamp. This bracket has solved that problem for me. I put the bracket up on the wall, and am using a RemoteLinc 2 switch linked to a dual band outletlinc dimmer. Installation was very easy, especially compared to running a wired switch! And smarthome was very smart to recommend the cooper aspire trim plate - it looks clean and matches the other decora switches throughout my house. No more hunting around in the dark for my lamp.
Tim Gaastra -- redlands, CA   10/15/2011
Pretty bad for such a simple product. 1. The bumps that are supposed to hold the RemoteLinc2 barely do, it sits rather loose in the frame and will rattle on the wall once installed. 2. The drywall anchors included are cheap and will snap in half if not carefully put in the wall. 3. The screws themselves that go into the drywall anchor are actually too small on their head to hold the frame securely, they WILL pop through. Overall, I know this is a cheap part Though at over 5 bucks I'd have to say its a pretty big premium for what is a piece of plastic and two screws but it should be better than this. NOT RECOMMENDED
